The Federal Reserve Act and Stealing the United States Government
The Federal Reserve Act and Stealing the United States Government
By Al Case
Actually, the Federal Reserve Act stole a lot more than the United States government, it stole all the money from all the people of the United States, and even the money of their children.
Chairman Ben Bernanke's opinion column on November 29th. In the piece, Bernanke criticized proposed legislation before the Senate that would seek to curtail powers given to the Fed over its near-century of existence. With approval of the Consumer Financial Protection Agency comes a new regulatory regime that may also threaten the dominant paradigm, changing the way business at the top is done for decades to come. What will the Federal Reserve's role be in this new financial landscape, and how effective will they be in the face of continuing economic uncertainty?

Making predictions is a cinch job and making long-term predictions is even cinchier. Like weather predictions, the predicter can always figure his audience will forget that he said, "Cloudy with an 80% chance of rain" and we end up getting a foot deep blizzard or he can always say the snow "developed out of nowhere."
Why is it that our founding fathers were often referred to as being Statesman but one rarely even hears the term when discussing our current set of politicians?

Wikileaks and the Federal Government - What is National Interest Exactly?

The United States "War on Terror" has always been a very big issue in the global scene. The advocates say this is necessary to make the world a safer place, while those against it say that this is yet another attempt of the US to reinforce its international politico-economic standing at the expense of other nations.

With the recent ouster of Bob Bennett, it seems many incumbent Republicans are scrambling and cranking up the spin-machine in an attempt to jump aboard the recent "Liberty/Tea Party" freight-train. I like to call these folks Tea-o-Cons; Neo-Conservatives who leverage true-blue American libertarian rhetoric to get elected, then once they are in power they actually legislate against liberty and libertarian values. It's the old "bait & switch" scam and they are essentially Neo-Conservative wolves in Sheep's clothing.
Federal Employees Pay Raises and Getting Fat Off the People
Federal Employees Pay Raises and Getting Fat Off the People

It's no great surprise that in the void created by print journalism's failing business model, various and sundry individuals, groups, and institutions are taking advantage of the average Joe. Nor is it surprising that the federal government is leading the way, the more so during this economic downturn.
I thought that Democracy was 'By the people, for the people, to the people'...all these years. In 2007, led by the Phillipine Prime Minister, The United Nation Representatives, made mostly of Developing countries came up with this.
Did the US Cause the Current Islamic Regime in Iran?
Did the US Cause the Current Islamic Regime in Iran?

They are considered one of the "axis of evil". There has been growing talk of possible military operations in the country because of their attempts to build nuclear weapons. However, did the U.S. government cause their rise to power? Perhaps, we need to look back with a more critical eye towards our history.
The Federal Government As Jabba the Hutt - Too Big and Too Slow to Get Anything Right
The Federal Government As Jabba the Hutt - Too Big and Too Slow to Get Anything Right
By Bruno Korschek
It occurred to be recently while watching television that the U.S. Federal government is really nothing more than the political incarnation of Jabba The Hutt from the Star Wars movies. As you may recall, Jabba was a formless, slow moving, overweight entity that ruled with an iron fist while devouring resources brought to him. He did not pay for anything, he just took them, and he was not there to help anyone but himself. Those he ruled over had no say in how their resources and wealth were used and had no chance in dislodging Jabba from his position of power. Kind of sounds like our political class currently sitting in DC.
Alexander H Stephens' Lifelong Battle to Preserve the Constitution Against Centralism
Alexander H Stephens' Lifelong Battle to Preserve the Constitution Against Centralism
By Randy Pope I
Since the government of the United States was formed on the principles of federalism it took a revolution to reform this government into the centralized monster it has become today. Alexander H. Stephens saw that revolution coming, and battled it not just from the South but in the South as well. The slaves were freed as a result of the Civil War, but today Americans are in slavery to a far overreaching government.
You Hold the Future of Politics in Your Hands
By Don Potter
Too often people complain about the state of government and how it does not represent their views and provide for their needs. This kind of statement is usually followed by the individual throwing up their hands and sealing their fate by saying something like, "But I'm only one person, so there's nothing I can do about it?" The answer is, only you have the power to affect change.

The Government And People - The Eater, Cutleries and Food Concept
By Chimezie Ihekuna
More often than not, people, all around the world complain bitterly and assert the importance of their relevance to the state. However, if we are to critically look into the questions: 'who is the government?' and 'who are the people?', it can be said that the dynamics into the crucial nature of the asked questions are profound. Why?
Is Government Health Care Really the Answer?
By Ethan Kalvin
Health insurance has become a main topic of conversation within this country. When you look around there are men and women losing their employment and this indicates more uninsured American's then we have ever experienced. It is a battle for these individuals to receive the medical care they need but will a government health care system repair these challenges or will it generate new ones. Well, the following is a little information you should be conscious of just before making your decision on whether you're for or in opposition to a Nationalized Health Care system.
In the early 1770's there were political factions that opposed Alexander Hamilton's fiscal policies during his presidency. The Federal Party under Hamilton advocated a strong central government and a loose interpetation of the U.S. Constitution with the the belief that the government should be lead by the wealthy and elite class. The factions opposing these policies were known as the Anti-Administration Party and the Anti- Federalists. It wasn't until the mid 1790's that Thomas Jefferson together with James Madison organized these factions into the Democrat-Republican Party. Their philosophies and beliefs favored the common individual. Their focus was on a strict following of the constitution and a weaker federal government. This new party was also known as Jeffersonian Democracy.
John Lock was a classic liberal. He was one of the first political philosophers believing in natural rights as opposed to the divine right. In The Second Treatise of Government, Lock writes about the "state of nature" which is a pre-political society where people had natural rights and were all free and equal. In the section of The Second Treatise of Government entitled Of Property, Locke, using reason and religion, explains his theory about private property and how that property is acquired in the state of nature.
The United States of America is a little over 230 years old. The Byzantine Empire lasted from 476 to 1453, over 1000 years! The Imperial Era of China (throughout various dynasties) lasted over 1600 years! Even the ancient Shang Dynasty lasted 500 years. The point is that our country is extremely young! It is easy to forget this fact when we wake each day and go about our lives. The USA is basically just an experiment, as far as civilizations are concerned. Many experiments fail. Can America strengthen and succeed over the next two centuries?
Political Class - Voodoo Economic Myths and Lies - Myths #1 and #2
Political Class - Voodoo Economic Myths and Lies - Myths #1 and #2
By Bruno Korschek
Infamous Nazi Joseph Goebbels once said that if you tell and repeat a lie enough times, it will eventually become the truth. So it is with politicians and economic behavior and theory. We have been told so many lies so many times by the political class, that the lies become the reality in a lot of people's minds, preventing them from considering alternative approaches and alternative views of reality. This article will explore two of these myths as perpetuated by the political class. The following information needs to be viewed with an open mind since the findings to be revealed are likely in conflict with what you have been told over and over again by the political class. In other words, do not fall into the Goebbels trap: the repetition of a lie causing it to become the truth.
If they were asked to take a hard and honest look at the problems facing this country in today's world, it is easy for most people to identify the five or six overriding issues that deeply affect the most Americans. I would bet that the following issues would make most people's top ten:
- Two ongoing wars in the Middle East. - A continuing battle against terrorism. - Our failing public education system. - An ongoing battle against the plague of illegal drug usage. - Escalating health care costs. - Both Social Security and Medicare heading for insolvency. - Skyrocketing national debt and deficit spending. - High unemployment. - The lack of a national and rational strategic energy plan. - Illegal immigrants and the problems caused by the lack of a national border security capability.
The NWO elite have grown arrogant with power as greater and greater power has been concentrated with them in the last 60 years. The time-travel technology has made them nearly invincible from current and future upsets and uprisings and life is good for them. But arrogance is blind to the real dangers of their own fears for the future which all power seekers have. And it is this fear of mistakes and possible unforeseen consequences of their actions that is their greatest demon that pursue them daily. The unseen futures can sometimes be a trap which is difficult to avoid without the wisdom of the infinite. And even time-travel technology will not save the NWO from their fate if they continue down their current path.
When the human leaders of a society go against the collective will of humanity then Nature or other powers will eventually end their reign of power suddenly and when least expected. The history of our solar system is littered with the remains of dead civilizations which are gone today. And the Earth has many dead civilization ended in the prime of their power. This is the way of power when it is misused for selfish reasons.
In the eyes of the elite only their will matters but in the eyes of God each man has an equal vote for the future of mankind. If the elite leaders choose to suppress those whom they are given to lead and reduce their numbers greatly by plagues, wars, and starvation then they are no longer the leader of humanity but their executioners.
I write often to heal the NWO elite from their madness of actions which will bring about their greatest fears. For sooner or later balance will be restored again. The sugar addictions of today have caused severe niacin deficiencies in many men and so the NWO has created their own fears without knowing it. For the first and greatest symptom of niacin deficiency is unfounded fears and paranoia.
The first holocaust of the Jews and Gypsies and the second holocaust of the blacks and homosexuals did not go unnoticed. And the third holocaust of planned great plagues, wars, and starvation will be your own end. When you see the masses of people starving and in great strife on your televisions deep in your underground cities know that your end will be only a few heartbeat away. For if you do not chose the better path you make your own future and seal your own fate.
The simple psychic art of spoon bending was the beginning of the end of modern mass warfare in our world. For the individual is the true unit of power in society not the collective will of men in positions of power.

A judge of the U.S. District Court handed down sentences for Kendall and Gwendolyn Myers, a married American couple that were spy's for Cuba. Kendall Myers is the son of a heart surgeon, grandson of the National Geographic Society's President and great grandson of Alexander Graham Bell, the inventor of the telephone. Myers was born into a family of great riches and opportunity, went to college at Brown University and earned a Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University.
In 1978 Kendall visited Cuba for two weeks and was soon recruited by a Cuban intelligence agent. He spied for 30 years from his jobs inside the State Department. He first worked at the State Department's Foreign Service Institute and later at the department's Bureau of Intelligence and Research. In 1985, he received a "top secret" security clearance giving him a right of entry to confidential information every day. U.S. investigators were made aware of the existence of a Cuban spy in 2006. The FBI tracked down Myers, then launched a sting operation that brought the couple down.
THE SEARCH FOR THE FOUR 911 MISSING PLANES by J.E. Ante
The 911 false flag operation of the Twin Towers necessitated the use of electronic deception in the media and air traffic to complete their mission. The four civilian passenger planes most likely were diverted to a secluded area of the Atlantic Ocean and crashed and sank quickly with all hands in the deepest part of the ocean. The military training operations which were conducted on the same day of 911 off the New York coast were most likely a cover for the clearing of this secluded area of space in the Atlantic Ocean where the four planes were to be crashed and sank.
This area of exploration for remote viewers and salvage ships might one day locate and recover these four airplane crash sites to begin the true investigation of 911 and the criminal acts of terrorism by our own government officials.
The Pentagon was most likely hit by a missile fired point blank from a missile installation under the Pentagon's own helicopter pad. The first Twin Tower plane crash was an electronic ghost or media doctored footage and/or hologram and coupled with missile strike. The second plane to hit the second Twin Tower was probably a real plane disguised as airliner or possibly also a holographic image timed with a missile strike. But I believe the second plane was a real airliner not a hologram image coupled with a missile strike. And lastly, the Pennsylvania airplane crash sight was probably multiple missile strikes to the ground to make it look like an air crash sight.
I do not think the 911 government and military conspirators would fly the four airplanes to a distant location to imprison the 400 or 500 airline passengers of the four 911 airplanes. They could not risk the possible truth coming out if anyone escaped or the hundreds of jailers who might talked about the 911 passengers that were imprisoned. So most likely they were all killed in one area of the deepest part of the Atlantic Ocean on 9/11. This will probably be the way that 911 is eventually revealed and truly disclosed -- with the physical Atlantic airliner sights discovered and salvaged. The deepest parts of the Atlantic Trench may hold the secrets of 911 but with remote viewing and advances in deep salvage technology perhaps one day the truth of 911 will be known to the world.

American Citizens were able to hear President Obama speak about Immigration Reform today. During his televised speech, he spoke about how this country was built by immigrants and how their gifts, hard work, sacrifice helped build this country. He also spoke about they were discriminated against. It was a a nice history lesson.
He spoke on how porous our borders have been over past decades and how this has not changed. He spoke about immigrant labors work under the table, how they work for less then minimum wage, how they don't report crimes out of fear of deportation. None of this is new information, most American already know this. It happens in New York, New Jersey, Arizona, California, in every state across this land.
What is really the core reasoning of automatic guaranteed failure by Progressives policies? Quite simply, the answer is complacency. Progressive policies reward complacency and encourages the bare minimum of people in life and human beings were not designed to seek the bare minimum in life, but rather human beings are designed to be challenged.
In a nut shell, this is what the Progressive agenda is all about. Elitists are the slave masters who deliver the bare essentials to life for all. Assuming that you're not an elitist, you will have access to health care, you will never starve, you will have shelter and you will have access to entertainment for a little while. Of course none of these bare essentials are for free, because really nothing in life is ever for free. You will be taxed high on your earnings or on the things that you buy or a combination of both. Regardless in how you slice or dice it, the gross total of your earnings will eventually be galvanized to a point to where you possess less funds for your self at the end. This is the Progressive concept. It is a concept of Lord over serf. You will remain in the heirarchy of society to where you were born. Now this sounds like a really great dealio if you were born at the top of the food chain, however if you were born at the bottom, well this designed system will ensure that you will remain at the bottom more often than not. The financial hurdles will be too much, for the vast majority of people to ever over come.
Now, lets say you're a person that is not very ambitious and this system really doesn't sound all that bad to you, which is very logical. It's really not the worst case scenario to have the bare essentials of life provided to you, especially considering that poverty and human desolation is far much more worse to endure and has occurred on Earth as well. That is a very sound and good point, but please do consider human nature as well as you contemplate such a society system that socialism is.
Humans are creatures that excel in life when they are challenged. A socialist system of providing the bare essentials to you in life at a high cost in taxation has always failed throughout human history because an environment of complacency for humans has been created. In fact, on paper socialism is in fact, the most perfect society system ever devised, however in the real world it is one of the worst society systems ever designed, because socialism has never taken real human behavior into account. If humans are not constantly challenged, then humans naturally evolve to embrace complacency. In the animal kingdom complacent animals perish to predators. The young bird that does not learn to fly, is eaten by the fox. So with this phenomenon in nature being well known and understood, a logical person must also consider even though humans are highly intelligent creatures, are we not part of the animal kingdom too?
Complacency rules in socialist societies, because humans are smart enough to understand that if they get something for what appears to be nothing, then maximum effort is no longer required. Humans gravitate towards personal entertainment and other personal endeavors more instead. As an entire society begins to entertain themselves more, then naturally productivity in the over all economy reduces. Once productivity reduces too much, then a societies economy begins to spend more than it creates. Massive society debts then bring the socialist society leadership to a juncture to where a decision must be made. The decision results in either leading a society into communism where forcing productivity to increase at the barrel of a gun or other terrorizing techniques are pursued or a decision is made to ditch the socialist system entirely for a capitalist system where an individual must make their own roads and fend for themselves to survive. Of course, socialism will always eventually fail due to genuine and true human nature and behavior, which always trumps designs that are drafted on paper.
The dangers of socialism in society are very evident when you begin to weigh out the planned system versus human nature. This conflict and clash always dooms the dream of a Utopia to its guaranteed automatic failure. Now you may wonder if this is proven true over and over and over again in human history, then why is it that so many politicians and elitists pursue this system? Aren't they aware of any history, a logical person might ask? Well the answer is simply, yes, these individuals are intelligent enough to know the history of the automatic and guaranteed failure that socialism always provides, but these individuals are the fox and you are the prey. These unscrupulous individuals pursue this system only to prey upon you to better themselves. Most individuals who pursue socialism today, are some of the worlds most evil and most dangerous people on Earth or are just mentally unstable and delusional. They will pursue this system relentlessly only for self adulation and lust of power, absolute and maximum power wielded over the masses. Most individuals who pursue socialism today are individuals that are pathological narcissists. This is a dangerous human condition that causes an individual to pursue maximum power for endless attention, which heading socialism in society best assists that person to achieve. Pathological narcissists are masters of manipulation and are extremely intelligent. They can always make the absurd sound so wonderful. Pathological narcissists are typically charismatic, charming and appear to be non threatening to you as well. You have never heard of a Joseph Stalin, a chairman Mao or an Adolph Hitler in a free society, who mind you, were all pathological narcissists. Free societies do not grant enough power for a pathological narcissist to wield it for evil, but socialism grants the gateway of enough power for these individuals to thrive in an arena where the meal will eventually be you.
So as you ponder on how wonderful obtaining free junk sounds, please consider who it is that is giving you free junk. Do you really know who these people are? Foxes will eat flightless birds.

When affirmative action first appeared in our American Culture, it was hailed as a way to equal the playing field for minorities. It's objectives and goals were admirable. Minorities would be receive help to feed their families, educate their children, provide health care for those in need. While affirmative action may have had good intentions, it has hampered and possible hindered future generations. The negative impact that it has had on our children will be felt for years to come.
At one time in this country, people of all races took pride in their work, in their family and in them self. They didn't stand with their hand out, waiting for the government to give them something, for doing nothing. People may have been poor, but they kept their houses clean. Their clothes may have been mended, but they were clean. They cleaned houses, dug ditches, picked the fields, swept the streets all for money they honestly earned.
Now, we have multiple generations growing up on government assistance. Where has the pride gone that past generations exhibited? Why is it now, okay to take government handouts? Why do the leaders of minority groups seem to encourage this behavior? Why is it not possible to have real meaningful reform the affirmative action? If our political leaders really cared about the American Citizen and the future of this country, they would actively work to make positive changes to affirmative action.
It is past time that people looked at welfare as a temporary program. Welfare should never have become a permanent fixture for anyone. It should have been and should be a stepping stone to a better life. There should be limits to the length of time a person and or family can remain on the program. If you want to be a productive member of society, then you should have the drive to find a way to get off the government welfare roll.
It is more common for people to use welfare as an excuse. It may be the color of their skin, their gender, where they live, it still sounds like an excuse. It is time for all Americans, no matter where they live, no matter their political affiliation and no matter the color of their skin to take a hard look at affirmative action. It's time as come and gone. It is time for all Americans to become the people we can be through education, training, job sharing, and through peaceful and deliberate thought.
It is a time to a stop to the abuse of affirmative action. It is time to develop pride in who we are as person, group and especially as a citizen of this great country. While this country is far from perfect and we as a people have a long way to go, we are all Americans. It doesn't matter what the color of our skin, gender, or where we live, we really do live in the greatest country on this planet.
All "isms" have a sting in their tale and if they befriend religion or politics they can be positively dangerous. The point is not what is declares itself to be but what it makes up as it goes along in the general interest of its managers. This is exactly what makes Socialism such an ambiguous and expensive exercise. Time and again, it has pitted its philosophies and liberation policies against the generally downgraded and supposedly oppressive "capitalism" rearing high in the horizon of those who for one reason or another always look on work as the day to day sacrifice in the seemingly endless wheel to early retirement (and freedom, of course). Never has so much bunkum ever been so excreted to displace the defenceless platforms of logic and commonsense and it would perhaps not be a bad idea to show how it manages to fool so many people so often.
Instead of discussing the contents of the report of London School of Economics, I will emphasis on some other angles of the same issue. First of all let me raise some questions.
Why we should believe that CIA has no links with Taliban?
If Pakistan is supporting Afghani Taliban so then who is supporting Pakistani Taliban?
If India is supporting Pakistani Taliban and Pakistan is supporting Afghani Taliban against one other so then who is fighting against US and NATO? And who are their supporters?
Why is this report silent about the objectives of Taliban, Pakistan, India and America in this region?
Why this report concentrates only on Pakistan's supported Taliban?
Probably at some point in our nation's past, this was a true statement: "I'm from the government and I am here to help you." That was when government was much smaller and more focused on a limited set of functions. So limited, in fact, that government was actually good at getting some problems solved. However, given the behavior of today's government functions, personnel, and the American political class these past few years, it is probably true that this statement is no longer a fact, it is just a myth. Consider the following myth busting behaviors:
1) The Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) is responsible for overseeing the integrity of the accounting processes and accuracy of public companies' financials. They were obviously asleep at the wheel when many of Wall Street's largest financial firms, rapidly and without warning, either went bankrupt or dove into deep financial stress at the onset of the greatest financial collapse in this country since the Great Depression. How did this economic and financial fiasco occur with almost no advance warning by the SEC? A possible answer was published in an April 23, 2010 Associated Press article which reported on the findings of an SEC Inspector General analysis. The analysis found that more than two and half dozen SEC employees were found to have used their government issued computers to search the Internet for pornography during the time they should have been hard at work protecting the interests of Americans who invest in public companies. As examples of their findings, one SEC attorney spent up to eight hours a day downloading pornography, burning his findings to CDs and DVD discs once his hard drive filled up with the pornographic material. An SEC accountant was blocked over 16,000 times in one month (or about 800 times a day, 10 times an hour) from visiting pornographic websites yet he was able to eventually collect a collection of pornographic material on his government computer by using a method to bypass the SEC filters. Seventeen of the pornography seekers at the SEC were considered "senior level" employees, earning salaries up to $222,000 a year. These government employees were obviously too busy to help protect the interests of the American investors, people who lost untold billions of dollars as a result of the financial crisis that the SEC staff never saw coming.
We are getting close to plugging the hole in the Gulf of Mexico and let me make it clear; Seafood is over rated!
Phoenix Arizona is better governed by Mexican drug cartels and look at the bright side, it's cheaper this way AND can help to pay down some of the National debt, even though the run away Congress will never quit frivolous spending towards saving the Earth, but in due time when we do save the Earth, it can be funded by furthering the rationing of health care!
I know that the middle class is upset to the fact that their income taxes are now at 75% of their income, but at least they get a real high tech fancy dancy National ID card with their DNA in the card for it! How cool is that? I especially like the hologram!
And I know that you're upset because the National average utility bill is now only $950.00 a month, but you just have to learn how to conserve better or just work more and it will be okay, I promise, your attitude will make all of the difference!
Now if we can just spend another 1.5 Trillion dollar Stimulus package bill that has been introduced in the Congress, this time I will promise to you that the unemployment rate will not exceed 25%, I PROMISE! We are nearly there to make America into the Utopia that I had always dreamed about as a young boy growing up!
Now, in 2011 we will balance the budget this time by just eliminating the entire Military. Military's cost a fortune, attracts racists, angers other Nations and we just can't have a Military and Nationalized health care at the same time, but then we have to some how figure out how to pay for some new bail outs that my pals on Wall Street need, so that I can have enough campaign funds to get re elected in 2012. But DO NOT worry, because we have a Marxist think tank who will figure out how to solve this dilemma and eventually with an open budget, we will figure out what the budget should be to convince you that it is balanced while I go out on another golfing adventure. If we have to, I will just sell the Statue of Liberty to Shang Hai. That city has way better harbors there any ways and the Statue of Liberty would look really good in their modern high tech city that boasts all of the manufacturing jobs that the USA once had! Maybe if we included the Brooklyn Bridge, the Lincoln Memorial, the Seattle Space Needle and all of the artifacts in the Smithsonian, they will return the Hummer Manufacturing jobs to us to create an additional 10,000 jobs to catch up to the 35 Million job deficit that we currently have. It'll be great! We will definitely get a handle on this unemployment problem as our 3rd Most important priority instead of how in 2010 it was our last priority, because of Nationalized health care, cap and tax and that BP thing got in the way of my golfing and weekly concerts as well as all of those racists down there in Arizona complaining about the Mexican Drug cartels blowing them away. Maybe if everybody in Arizona wasn't so racist all the time then the Mexican Drug Cartels wouldn't want to shoot them up, but at any rate my Attorney General will keep them tied up in court for years to come so that we don't have to be distracted by those little people who don't really matter anymore and 2011 will be a much better year than 2010, for me.
Keep believing! Do NOT give up hope and always remember, it is Bushes fault and YES WE CAN!!!
As July 4th approaches - a celebration of America's independence from the British Empire - I am struck by a feeling of melancholy to which I am unaccustomed. The reason will become clear as this essay progresses.
On July 4th, 1776, the Continental Congress declared their independence from the British Monarchy and officially became The United States of America. Quite naturally this did not sit well with King George III, and a brutal war erupted between British soldiers and the new Continental Army, formed in 1775. The French government under King Louis XVI covertly supplied the Continental Army with supplies, weapons and ammunition.
In 1777, when the Rebels captured a British contingent of soldiers, events escalated and, in early 1778, the French military entered the war in earnest. What this accomplished was crucial to the success of the rebellion as it evened the military prowess of both sides. Further, in the coming two years, two allies of France also went to war with Great Britain.
Threatening to invade Great Britain and challenge her navy, Spain and the Dutch Republic severely hindered the campaign in the Colonies, drawing critical resources away from America. Britain's naval superiority enabled her to enjoy easy success in controlling the harbors and coastal regions of the Colonies, but only roughly 10 percent of the population was there. The remainder lived inland, and the ground forces of the British were ill equipped to combat the fierce resistance offered by the Minutemen.
When Spain became engaged in the war, the British were forced to abandon the Florida gulf coast. France was the deciding factor, however, because she had a formidable naval force of her own. When the French navy defeated the British navy in Maryland's Chesapeake Bay, it led to the surrender of the British in Yorktown in 1781. Two years later the Treaty of Paris ended the war and culminated in the official recognition of the United States of America as a sovereign State.
Still, it wasn't until four years later that the United States Constitution was signed by the members of the newly-free members of the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia on September 17th, 1787. And it took another two years to have it ratified in 1789, and America had an official Federal government.
For nearly two centuries thereafter, America prospered and grew into the greatest nation Mankind has ever known. Then it all began to sour...
The key components of our success were the entrepreneurial spirit of our people, our moral and spiritual roots, and our relationship with a free press. Arguably, the former could not have flourished without the latter since success is dependent on accurate information and truth. At our inception, men were honest and journalism followed suit. It was the Miracle-Gro of Liberty.
Our government has slowly but surely plodded its way back to the root cause of the first revolution, though the people are not free from culpability. Generational success passed down has bred sloth, but even worse has been the notion that such luxury is to be expected. When the chain of wealth is broken, the offspring look elsewhere for the meal ticket. Politicians have learned well and become quite adept at capitalizing on that mentality.
The true betrayal has come not from our own propensity to cede freedom for comfort, however, as we have been herded toward that end for several generations. It is the enabling of that herding by a media equally infected by the same propensity, an affliction that has made possible this tragic rejection of a great gift through a collusion to conceal the truth.
It seems to be an inexorable march to our ultimate doom, an end to life as we have grown accustomed. All that our ancestors have fought, bled, sacrificed and died for has been casually cast as funereal ashes to the wind. Once a great patriot advised us that only two things mattered; Patrick Henry said, "Give me liberty or give me death".
If you are reading this, you have a computer or phone with internet access. That is a great thing. I love the technology we enjoy today. It's great to have the cell phone, the flat screen television, the computerized cars, the video games, and everything "I". But think about this; what good would these trinkets be if you were not free to use them as you pleased?
Our forefathers had none of the ease of communication that we enjoy, but no one ever told them they could not assemble and discuss. While they would most likely envy our modernity, they understood through investment the importance of liberty. And as we have learned to spread our messages far and wide, we have forgotten how to whisper in our neighbor's ear.
We have seen a steady progression of our media toward an ideology that they share with the forces determined to hasten the destruction of all that the Founding Fathers fought valiantly to create. The election of Barack Obama has seemingly cemented the relationship between the government and the only entity created ostensibly to counter it. When the forces of power and information join, freedom dies.
Ironically, as we resist a return to our European roots, it took the words of an Irish entrepreneur to drive this notion home. From the Irish Times, a word on the subject from Ben Dunne regarding the press:
"It exposes mistakes. It probes actions. It presents alternatives. Without a free media, freedom would have far less meaning. The common good is served by an independent and principled media."
Sadly, we have an "independent and principled media" in America, but it is under assault not only from the government it seeks to restrain, but a complicit "mainstream" media. Clearly, if Mr. Dunne is correct, liberty is in serious jeopardy in America and those who stand to defend it - most notably anyone who supports the Tea Party movement - are cast as villians, somewhat successfully.
Look around you. The campaign against tyranny in the 20th century that resulted in such joy has largely been dismantled and forgotten in the last two years. Forgive me, but our prospects look bleak.
So as Independence Day approaches with all the festiveness of the long weekend and the fact of Summer, I fear mine may be partly spent in brooding contemplation of our future. I will certainly partake in the company of loved ones and good food, but part of me will be wondering how close the waterfall's edge looms.
America is about to become the leader of the world again. We've lost our leadership in so many ways. America is no longer the leader in technology, manufacturing, education, and of course in economic matters; however, where we are headed is not the kind of LEADERSHIP we want. The wheels of the Obama administration are coming off and if you thought the Carter administration was bad, we're about to see a new level of INCOMPETENCE!
I voted for the Libertarian candidate for President in 2008 because I felt we needed a CHANGE from eight years of mismanagement by the Bush forces.
To the credit of President Barak H. Obama, he was not kidding about his promise to fundamentally transform the United States of America and is working at lightening speed to achieve unprecedented changes as seen never before, to turn the USA into an unrecognizable Nation that the average American has never even fathomed before! The goal of eliminating all individual liberties is under way for the benefit of absolute power for the President, various Global elitists and select Progressive, Socialist and Marxist intellectuals with in a select crowd of perpetrators and the end result will be a conclusion of a Global Lords over surfs as a governmental equation by design, should the Constitutional Republic perish by their massive and constant legislative endeavors.
Individual liberties are fodder to the Progressive machines agenda and will be chewed up and disregarded as the Progressive agenda advances. The 2700+ page health care reform bill addresses much more than just providing health care to those who do not have it, but commands absolute control over all American's everyday lives by giving complete access of all American's personal financial holdings by the Federal Government, whether it be accessing banking or investing accounts and gives the Federal Government unconstitutional powers to remove funds at will, if desired by the Federal Government to do so. An end to any financial privacy for any individual in the USA is achieved with the passage of the extremely intrusive health care reform legislation. The Federal Government will also take over 100% control in issuing higher education loans to secondary education students, which is an ear mark that was discovered inside of the health care reform legislation. Besides the fact that rationing of health care services will occur and to the fact that intrusive unconstitutional penalties will be leveraged upon individuals who decline to gain and pay for care, what the unconstitutional health care reform legislation is really about is absolute authoritarian control by the Federal Government over all individuals who reside in the USA, with exception to the fact that illegal immigrants who break our immigration laws will just be covered for free by the American taxpayer. The health care reform bill is less about over all health care and is more about subjugation of the American individual by the Federal Government and should receive immediate consideration to advance Usurpation measures as granted to the American people in the U.S. Constitution. Usurpation is the unauthorized, unlawful exercise of power not expressed or granted in the U.S. Constitution and whenever a person, department or branch of the government (federal, state, or local) usurps, they assume undelegated powers and are therefore acting outside the law. Any legislation advanced outside of the parameters of the law, is therefore null and void.
Further intrusions of individual liberties are under way through the advancement of cap and trade legislation, which passed in the House of Representatives on Friday June 18th, 2010. Should the cap and trade legislation pass in the Senate at a later date, then utility bills through out the country will sky rocket, effectively damaging the individual consumers buying power in the over all economy and will of course also lead to the elimination of hundreds of thousands of jobs so that corrupt politicians can make a fortune in private business holdings that would support the proposed new "green economy" that has already proven to be a failure in Spain, which created a ridiculous 18.1% National unemployment rate there and has led to Australia to change course in not pursuing a "green economy", due to the well known guaranteed negative economic impact that cap and trade will create. Should cap and trade become enacted into law in the United States, then with the known automatic negative economic impact that the legislation will create; a result of countless additional "currently employed" Americans will become reliant on the Federal Government for welfare and food stamps, which of course has to be a part of the over all evil Progressive plan to retain absolute control over the individual through out the Nation to secure power at future ballots. This is merely a planned cyclical Progressive process to retain power and control at the expense of individual liberties. Desperate people will seek desperate measures to survive and get by, which the Progressives clearly understand, which is why they enjoy to purposely create an economic depression by design.
The evil anti American Progressives also seek to eliminate the Second Amendment by signing UN agreements behind the scenes in obscurity and by continually trying to advance the H.R. 45 (Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009) to target all gun owners in the U.S.A. The evil anti American Progressive strategy is very much so quite simple. A constant advancement to make it a royal pain in the rear to possess any fire arm will deter how many Americans choose to participate in their Constitutional rights to bare arms and of course once there is vastly more Americans who do not desire to practice their inalienable rights, through an evolutionary process of eroding such rights by constant harassing legislative assault, a result of eventual full scale ban can be eventually achieved. That is exactly the evil anti American Progressive plan. Once a society is stripped of their personal fire arms, then more brazen authoritarian measures of limiting individuals liberties becomes extremely easier with out any consequences. The inalienable right to bare arms in the United States Constitution has nothing to do with hunting or sport shooting as many politicians would have you believe, but instead the founding fathers had a vision of another check and balance that leverages the American citizen against the prospects of a Tyrannical Government amongst many other checks and balances that they designed to seek a preservation of a Constitutional Republic. Should the evil anti American Progressives ever achieve stripping the inalienable right to bare arms away from the American individual, then unchallenged Tyranny may be achieved in over drive with out fear or regards to any viable repercussion(s), which of course is why it is vital for every American to oppose any Second Amendment infraction(s) that are attempted regardless if an American appreciates a fire arm or not, because in the bigger scheme of things, that Amendment is part of a complex matrix for individual liberty preservation, Constitutional Republic preservation and an additional safe guard against the potential of tyrannical government to come into existence.
Net neutrality is an assault of freedom of speech and is currently under way for targeted implementation to further control the main stream media message for the vast majority of the US population. President Obama also edited President Ronald Reagan's Executive Oder 12425 granting Interpol diplomatic immunity, which President Ronald Reagan never granted for a future suspected One World Government Gestapo. To learn more, please visit http://www.examiner.com/x-30090-Delaware-Education-Examiner~y2009m12d29-President-Obama-signs-Executive-Order-allowing-Interpol-new-privileges Unions such as the SEIU and community organizers such as the former group known as ACORN, now known as Community Organizations International are all vital instruments for the planned Global Communist one world government to herd the masses for perfect subjugation of absolute command and control for anybody who desires the ability to gain employment any where on Earth. Traditional allies to the USA are currently not appreciated as commonly witnessed even on the main stream media and Authoritarian States are much more appreciated as never seen before with the current foreign affairs policies being pursued today. Arizona is being over ran by immigration infractions with little regard to American National sovereignty by this current administration, not to mention astounding Nationalization of Private Corporations that has already occurred as well. I fear to state what Ronald Reagan once said,"Don't be afraid to see what you see." Too many paralleled actions have transpired or are currently under way in a complete fundamental transformation of the United States of America, which will have broader impacts not only on the American citizen, but also on many other Nations and people through out the World. We may not have enough time to stop the onslaught by November for any political change of power to prevent the erosion of humanity as destined slaves and if there is any chance to make it to November to reverse the evil anti American Progressive legislative actions, then it will be imperative for several court actions to be initiated RIGHT NOW, in order to buy time to allow November to mean anything at all. Lawyers who traditionally support the Democrat Party should take heed to what is transpiring. Lawyers thrive in a Nation of laws that a Constitutional Republic is, but if a pseudo one world communist State is achieved then legal services as witnessed in passed Communist States are not needed so much anymore, which is quite an interesting quandary for those out there who practices Law. Many Lawyers out there should seriously consider their long term futures versus any short term gains while this new one world alignment is currently under way and seriously ask themselves this poignant question,"Is it worth it for me to assist in advancing an agenda that may very well put me out of a long term occupation for just a little extra quid right now?" This may sound some what extreme, but is it really when you begin to connect all of the dots?
Should the evil anti American Progressive machine prevail before November of 2010, then a 1000 years of darkness will reign over the world creating a World of misery for the masses. Those who are poor will remain poor, those who think that they are comfortable right now, will lose all comforts and those who posses power will remain in power indefinitely for themselves and their future lineage. The implications and the end results will not just negatively effect every day Americans, but once the United States of America ceases to be a Constitutional Republic, then Global alignment for a one world Government can come into existence to advance unchallenged measures to control all of mankind as never seen before through out human history. Suppose my suspicions are wrong, which would be wonderful, but with everything going on all at once in a legislative blitzkrieg in the USA as never seen before in all of American history, is it really at all worth the risk that my suspicions could be correct?
We are at a crossroads. Do we choose to participate in the destruction of our beautiful planet or can we look forward to new vistas of exploration? Can we use this time to get it right? To help stop the greed and unwarranted rape and plunder of nature and our own bodies?
Freedom is a choice, it comes from inside of us. It is a core belief that everything is truly in Divine order; it is a belief that God Goddess wants the best for us, that no suffering is haphazard and always for a reason.
The audacity of failure being created by Barack H. Obama
What is Socialism by its exact definition out of a dictionary?
so·cial·ism /ˈsoʊʃəˌlɪzəm/ Show Spelled[soh-shuh-liz-uhm] Show IPA–noun
1.a theory or system of social organization that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of the means of production and distribution, of capital, land, etc., in the community as a whole.
2.procedure or practice in accordance with this theory.
3.(in Marxist theory) the stage following capitalism in the transition of a society to communism, characterized by the imperfect implementation of collectivist principles.
The United States of America fought Marxist ideas for approximately 100 years and for good reason. Every Nation that has utilized Socialism as a Government instrument has overwhelmingly realized the same failed results.
Failed results, gosh, that doesn't sound good, what would one mean by failed results?
Collectivism is central in Socialized theory. It directly contradicts the vision that our founding fathers had in the United States, because the founding fathers believed that there were no limitations to an individuals potential if allowed to be free with a limited Government and of coarse, they were correct, which explains how and why the United States of America led the world in almost all technological advancements, inventions and increased the standard of living for 100's of millions of people through out the world. Individual liberty leads to incentive to achieve and thus, with individual liberty that was in place for the United States men and women aspired to create things. Think about it; The United States invented the ability to harness electricity, the 1st telephone, invented the 1st gasoline powered automobile, the 1st air plane, 1000's of medicinal drugs and cures in medical science, we put the 1st man on the moon, invented the internet and were 1st to master nuclear technology that can be used for good and bad purposes. One might wonder, why is it that so many things are created in the United States and not in let's say, North Korea or Denmark? Well, that is a simple question to answer. Denmark is a Socialist society that very often can lead to a Communist society that North Korea is. Socialism is a centralized government machine that erodes any incentive for an individual to excel at anything at all, due to high taxation, excessive society laws to control an individual and industry crushing regulations in every field or sector of a Nations economy to stifle over all industry productivity. There is no point for individual advancement, there is no point for creativity and there is no point to have individual dreams and aspirations, because Socialism in a sense, is an over encompassing man altering machine that collectively makes people work for the States common good and interests exclusively and as a result to the system an individual can't get a head even if he or she desired to do so. As a result to this reality, individuals who live in Socialist society's less often swing for the fences, because if they did and achieved any degree of success, then it is just done for the benefit of the State resulting in no individual reward, which of coarse destroys any rational individual reason to give it your all.
Very often, power hungry intellects who feel that they are very important leads misguided people with big hearts, who are less aware of History into Socialism. The masses fall prey to embrasing and supporting Socialism as a valid Governmental system under the guise that all mankind have basic needs and it is up to the Government to ensure that these basic needs are delivered to them. The power hungry intellects of coarse, achieves a dizzying degree of power to fuel their needs of self adulation and then the masses are thumbed under their control.
Unfortunately, for the minority of people who are very well versed in History, we have seen time and time again, how initial good intentions with Marxist theory has resulted in absolute failure at a high cost, leading to great human suffering. Socialism leads to Communism, because of the productivity loss, which requires the leaders to put the masses behind the barrel of a gun to FORCE the masses to become more productive to avoid the guaranteed society system implosion. The American Progressives have slowly installed Socialism principles in US Government since 1913 to the present, where today under President Obama we now have full blown Socialism being installed in its final stages. What are the results to Socialist policies even witnessed in our country?
National Debt: just shy of 60 Trillion dollars National Deficit: 12-14 Trillion dollars & growing Social Security: Out of money very soon. Unfunded liabilities to cover entitlement programs such as Social Security, medicare and medicaide: 108 Trillion dollars & growing Socialized medicine: Enacted on debt, with no real funds to pay for it. US Federal budget for over sized Government: Operating on Treasury notes (uh, that's more debt people) where about 40 cents of every dollar received by the Government pays just for debts. Freddie Mac & Fannie Mae Federal Corporations: Operating on debt, issued housing policies that played a major role in creating the current United States Economic and Global Depression
I could give hundreds of additional examples of Federal Government fiscal failure caused by Progressives, but for the sake of keeping what you are reading as an article and not creating an Encyclopedia, I will press on to other Global examples of Socialism leading to economic collapse and to massive needless human suffering.
USSR: The collective state could not spend money on sustaining a global military super power status and at the same time could not sustain a vibrant or even a satisfactory economy. The USSR placed military importance over stable economic importance, which unfortunately led to their collapse. 100 million people were murdered by the Government in its brief 76 year existence, not to mention millions more around the world.
Greece: Greece continued a long time period of growing National government jobs and decreasing private sector jobs. The result; Today they are in a state of complete economic collapse and government insolvency. Half the Nation is unemployed.
China: China was smart. Their think tanks calculated over and over and over again, what the economic results of their Socialist economic system would be. The logical conclusion that they found, was automatic failure. Considering that China is known as the 5000 year old society, they decided to do what they have successfully always done through out history. They adapted and overcame, once again and ditched the failed Marxist economic principles, but held on to Marxist ideas for social principles.
Cuba: Cuba touts how their Utopia is so wonderful under Fidel Castro, but in reality people live at a very low standard of living, food shortages are common, medical assistance is poor and half of the cities are shanty towns. Only Sean Penn and a couple other delusional actors who have consumed incredible amounts of narcotics, believes that Cuba is a Socialist paradise that would be great for all mankind.
Eastern block European Nations during the Cold War. Poland, Czechoslovakia, Romania, Yugoslavia, East Germany, Hungary and Bulgaria suffered needlessly under a failed Marxist ideology. During the Cold War their peoples standard of living was low, unemployment rates were high, food shortages common and health care was poor compared to the Western world.
Angola's Marxist government collapsed in the 80's when Marxist ideas were implemented in that African country.
In the 90's the Mexican currency suffered sky rocketing hyper inflation, due to some Marxist economic ideas being tried there, that led to the standard failure.
The results are always the same. Individual motivation to aspire to do anything significant at all and invention is muted, productivity to get anything done lowers, efficiency of anything and everything reduces and costs to pay for society services grossly increases. Then the obvious conclusion that has repeatedly happened through out history occurs: economic and governmental collapse.
Some Socialist proponents and supporters will say,"Your point is not true, what about Western Europe?" My answer to them is simple,"Western Europe doesn't count, because the United States has paid for 80% of their Military Defense through NATO. If they had to pay for their own Defense at 100%, then their Governments too, would collapse as we've always seen throughout History."
So tighten up your seat belts people, because Obama, Reid and Pelosi are going to take you on a fast ride straight into a tree and you should just be mentally prepared to deal with the automatic guaranteed outcome of their current installed policies as all Nations through out history who have practiced such policies has witnessed, which is automatic guaranteed failure and a miserable life for the masses!
The multi-state lawsuit striking at the heart of healthcare reform is very controversial. It would invalidate the individual mandate for people to buy insurance, which was intended to make it more affordable for those with pre-existing conditions. According to the suit's backers, that provision violates the 10th Amendment of the Constitution, which they interpret as giving the states all powers not specifically assigned to the federal government in that document. The Obama administration, meanwhile, claims that the Commerce Clause in our founding document gives the federal government the power to regulate interstate commerce that has a direct impact nationwide.
The man primarily responsible for getting over 20 states to join his efforts is Bill McCollum. He is Florida's attorney general and a Republican. McCollum is also facing a tough primary battle for the GOP nomination to become the Governor of Florida. His actions have helped to shore up his support among Tea Party members, many of whom will be voting in the primary.
Still, it has not been a smooth ride. McCollum has been the target of opposition by Democrats who feel that the lawsuit is a waste of time and money, since there is a very high chance that it will be upheld in the Supreme Court. With Florida already suffering from budget problems, some believe that the filing inappropriate and politically motivated.
Now there is even more controversy surrounding the health insurance plan reform lawsuit, this time involving its legal representation. McCollum hired David Rivkin of the law firm Baker & Hostetler to represent the states. As it turns out, Rivkin was McCollum's former law partner!
Although the contract limits legal spending to $50,000 (split among the states involved), and McCollum defends it by claiming that Rivkin is being paid a reduced hourly fee, there is a possibility that the state could have received an even better deal. Some law firms may have even taken on the case pro bono, if their partners believed in the cause. However, the contract was never put up for bid, resulting in the potential for wasteful spending.
The leading Democratic candidate for governor, state Chief Financial Officer Alex Sink, has ran with this news and railed against McCollum for his so-called "sweetheart deal". She considers the healthcare reform lawsuit a pointless distraction from the issues facing the state.
Will this hurt McCollum in the race for his party's nomination for governor? He has largely become a hero among conservatives for his strong stance--which, if successful, may possibly lead to the repeal of the law. On the other hand, the hiring of a close business partner gives the appearance of impropriety and puts his credibility in question.
His primary opponent, Rick Scott, has so far ignored these allegations. He has largely attacked McCollum from the right, and also supports repeal. Scott also has his own tainted image to deal with: in the 1990s, hospital chain Columbia/HCA was accused of Medicare fraud when he was the CEO. That is another example of alleged misuse of government funds. Scott's campaign may not want to be the pot calling the kettle black.
You wanna stir things up? Just blurt out to your family and friends that you are so disgusted with government, politics and elections that you will no longer be voting. God, you'd think i drew a cartoon of a sacred religious idol or something. But, I truly have hit the wall with American politics. Granted, I do suffer horrific bouts of BTSD: Bush Traumatic Stress Disorder. And, I've read or listened to too many pieces by or about the likes of Paul Krugman, Simon Johnson (13 Bankers), Elizabeth Warren, Nouriel Roubini, Bill Moyers, Jim Hightower, et al. I am convinced that as long as Wall Street, the big banks, Big Oil, Big Pharma and Big Corporate America own the government, there will be no change. Ever. Greed-fueled lobbying and campaign contributions mean our government is not about We The People and never will be. Both parties are morally bankrupt, and a viable third party will always be out of the question unless you count the Tean Party, the Libertarians, or the Green Party, which I don't. Nope. It's a two-party system we are corruptly governed by that will always crush any true threat to its continued conniving ways. So, call me crazy, call me an idiot, mock me, dis me, for I fully deserve it. But, I will no longer be a meaningless part of The Great American Pyramid Scheme. I will no longer participate in this exercise in futility called "voting in elections," nor will I deceive myself into believing that my vote matters. It doesn't. I will give not one more shred of cred to a political system that is so not "Of The People, By The People and For The People..." At nearly 60, I am burning my voter registration card knowing that the more things don't change, the more they remain the same.
The Arizona State's immigration bill was recently passed into law by the governor of Arizona, Jan Brewer. The Arizona immigration law obliges immigrants to keep with them their immigrant documents at all times. As per the law, police officers are authorized to demand any suspicious individual for their alien registration documents. Consequently a national debate has been raised among politicians, pundits, and citizens by this controversial law.
The Arizona immigration law has also been criticized by President Obama who called the law, "misguided." Since he felt that this law might intervene with an individual's civil rights, he insisted on the law being monitored by the Justice Department.
For the first time, Obama had expressed his opposition to the Arizona immigration law at a naturalization ceremony that was held for 24 foreign-born U.S. military members. At the address he had requested the country to work towards a different future and not like the one that was envisioned through the Arizona immigration law.
President Obama was accompanied by Janet Napolitano, the Homeland Security Secretary at the Rose Garden event. Similar bills were disallowed by Janet Napolitano during her two term tenure as Arizona's democratic governor. Giving the reason for her refusal to permit the law, she stated that those bills would have held the law enforcement forces back from safeguarding the public from serious threats.
The immigrant advocates and the American Civil Liberties Union of Arizona believe that as most police officers are not trained enough to take anything other than race during the investigation of legal status of a suspect, they view the Arizona immigration law as a threat to a citizen's civil rights raising the issue of racial profiling.
The national immigration reform debate has been reopened by the Arizona immigration law. In order to prevent such irresponsibility's by others, President Obama has requested the federal government to take initiatives.
Merriam Webster dictionary defines "facilitator" as one that helps to bring about an outcome by providing indirect or unobtrusive assistance, guidance, or supervision.
History speaks for itself. Chamberlain neglected up-in-your-face reality and millions died due to his ignorance. FDR was "in love" with Stalin and gave him the Eastern Europe. He was totally responsible for a long and expensive "cold war" that could have been avoided which included the Korean and Vietnam wars where people died for no good reason.
Pay attention to the present administration. It will take us the FDR path.
The following is a piece of history of political misgivings. Let's not repeat it.
Socialism Is Deadly
Socialism is not self-sustainable. It needs a leader to employ the power of the state to achieve its goals.
Soviet Union was established in 1922. It called itself Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. It added in short order Soviet Socialist Republics of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belorussia (now Belarus), Estonia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kirgiziya (now Kyrgyzstan), Latvia, Lithuania, Moldavia (now Moldova), Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan. They were all called "Socialist".
Hitler raised to power by building the German Workers' Party. The name was changed by Hitler to include the term National Socialist. Thus the full name was the National Socialist German Workers' Party (Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei or NSDAP) called for short, Nazi.
After the war, Soviet Union retained Eastern Europe and installed communist governments. They all became "Socialist". Czech Socialist Republic, Socialist Republic of Romania and so on.
Socialism is defined (Merriam-Webster) as:
1 Any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods.
2 a. A system of society or group living in which there is no private property. b. A system or condition of society in which the means of production are owned and controlled by the state.
3 A stage of society in Marxist theory transitional between capitalism and communism and distinguished by unequal distribution of goods and pay according to work done.
Hitler was a socialist
By the autumn of 1937 Hitler had held three plebiscites. One asked vindication of his departure from the League of Nations, and he received a 92.3 per cent vote of confidence. The second sought acceptance of his combination of chancellorship and presidency after the death of Hindenburg; the affirmation vote was 88.3 per cent. The third followed the Rhineland crisis in March, 1936; the vote was 98 percent in support.
Hitler and his speeches
Hitler in his speeches, suggested to the German people first that they were sick, second that he alone could make them well.
His arguments were passionate:
"You are humiliated. You are degraded. Germany is a sick nation. Admit it. Concede the extent of your misery. You have been trying to persuade yourselves that you are content with this miserable republic."
"Those who stabbed you in the back, the Jews and the Marxists, are ruling you today. They prevent you from recovering your self-respect. They are the spiritual death of your nation. And your own spiritual death too. For you are Germany. We are Germany. Be men! Out with the traitors, the Jews, the pacifists, the republicans…." And so on. These speeches had an immense emotional effect. Women, especially, were overcome by them. If the audience was full of women, Hitler would shriek out, "You are mine, and I am yours, as long as I live!"
For the Germans, suppression of liberty was the price they were willing to pay for his leadership. Hitler was a socialist.
Hitler was in a mission
In a speech at Nuremberg in 1936, Hitler said, "If we could command the Urals (Russia Eastern Mountains) with their incalculable wealth of raw materials, and the limitless plains and fields of the Ukraine, the country (Germany) would swim in plenty."
Hitler, in his speech at Nuremberg on September 9 said that Germany should no longer fear a blockade in the event of war. Acquisition of Czechoslovak industrial areas and consequent opening up to Germany of the grain of Hungary and the oil of Rumania would, indeed, make Germany very nearly self-sufficient.
Hitler openly stated in 1936 that he intended to attack Russia, annex Ukraine and eastern Russia up to Urals, and of course the Eastern Europe in between: Poland, Romania, Czechoslovakia and so on, for the benefit of German people.
Hitler promises - He broke them all
He promised to respect the Treaty of Locarno; and violated it. He promised not to fortify the Rhineland; and fortified it. He promised not to annex Austria; and annexed it. He promised not to invade Czechoslovakia; and invaded it.
Stalin perfected Socialism. It is called Communism.
Under communism, dictatorship of the Proletarian is the rule. Anyone who is against the rules established by the communist rulers, is an enemy of the state and must be liquidated. By 1938, Stalin was still busy exterminating state enemies, by now in the millions.
The Soviets, under Stalin's chairmanship, even had a constitution. "The Constitution guarantees paid employment, leisure, and free education to all the inhabitants of the country."
All governments rule by force. In Soviet Russia force is applied directly, and with social aims in view which are intended to benefit not only 165,000,000 Russians, but the whole human race. The end justifies the means, in the Soviet style. Stalin was perfectly frank about this. Lady Astor asked him, "How long are you going to go on killing people?" Stalin replied, "As long as it is necessary."
Just like Hitler, Stalin had a similar, but somehow a different mission.
In 1938, Stalin was the leader of the Communist International, which had roots in ALL countries. He was confident, that the Communism will rule the world without any military intervention. Stalin had no reason to go to war. The only purpose of his army was to defend the new and young communist society he was building. In 1938 Stalin had no fighting army to speak of.
Roosevelt and Yalta Accord
Roosevelt was a socialist at heart. Had he had the power, he would have turned USA into a socialist country. Well, he couldn't do it. USA is structured unlike any other country, so he failed, and it wasn't for lack of trying.
The New Deal describes the program of US president Franklin D. Roosevelt from 1933 to 1939 of relief, recovery, and reform. These new policies aimed to solve the economic problems created by the depression of the 1930's. When Roosevelt was nominated, he said, "I pledge you, I pledge myself, to a new deal for the American people."
The New Deal included federal action of unprecedented scope to stimulate industrial recovery, assist victims of the Depression, guarantee minimum living standards, and prevent future economic crises. Many economic, political, and social factors lead up to the New Deal. Staggering statistics, like a 25% unemployment rate, and the fact that 20% of NYC school children were under weight and malnourished, made it clear immediate action was necessary.
Roosevelt, promising to deliver The New Deal, sounds very much like Hitler and Stalin. "I pledge you, I pledge myself, to a new deal for the American people." The promise was well intended and certainly was sincere coming from Roosevelt. But so was Stalin and Hitler.
Roosevelt signs Yalta agreement
Roosevelt by signing the Yalta agreement with Stalin, did more damage to the world than the war itself.
By 1943, Roosevelt had come to the view that the independence of small states was an obstruction on the road to peace, and that the Great Powers had the right to impose governments on states without the consent of their populations. Roosevelt was entranced with a vision of a world peacefully directed by the U.S. and the Soviet Union.
The arrangements made in Yalta furthered the collaboration with Stalin, whose joint dismembering of Poland with Hitler started World War II in Europe. The war that Britain and France ostensibly entered to free the Poles ended with the West helping lock the shackles on Poland for decades, as well as on most of Eastern and Central Europe, and set the stage for China's takeover by Mao.
It was Roosevelt himself who offered up eastern Poland at Yalta, the portion east of the so-called Curzon Line.
Stalin did not worry about breaking deals when it suited him. By late March of 1945, even FDR was forced to admit that the Soviets had no intention to allow free elections in Poland, saying: "We can't do business with Stalin. He has broken every one of the promises he made at Yalta." That wasn't exactly so. Stalin often did just what the Big Three agreed upon, including dragooning legions of slave laborers as "reparations," forcibly repatriating millions of refugees to the gulag and worse, uprooting millions of others from their homes.
And to add insult to the injury,
Washington and London kept fueling Stalin's war machine even as it was enslaving much of Europe. "Soviet preponderance in Europe," noted Churchill's official biographer Martin Gilbert, did not stop more aid to Stalin, code-named Milepost, including a delivery agreed to on April 3, 1945–after FDR's above comment. "Under this agreement, Russia was to receive, and did receive, more than a thousand fighter aircraft and 240,000 tons of aircraft fuel, as well as 24,000 tons of rubber from Britain, and more than three thousand aircraft, three thousand tanks, nine thousand jeeps, sixteen thousand weapons carriers and 41,436 trucks from the United States, as well as nearly two thousand million dollars worth of machinery and equipment."
From there on: The Cold War, Vietnam, North Korea, Cuba and so on. The free world is still paying the price today.
From 1924 to 1936, John Gunther was assigned to the London bureau of the Chicago Daily News. Well known author of several "Inside" books. Inside Europe is the source for my information.
If there was some bit of ascertainable fact contained in an undisclosed official document that would unequivocally disqualify me from holding some public office, state or federal to which I had been elected, I could justly do one of two things. I could, either, publicly own up to the disqualifying fact and step down from the office (the just and legal thing to do), or lie and endeavor through subterfuge to hide the fact from the public through continuous expensive judicial litigation against those accusing me of illegally interloping into authority and power which I had not been initially qualified to accept and hold. This serious salient issue still hangs perilously over the head of Barack H. Obama, as he attempts to preside as President over a constitutional republic, of which many millions of voters are reasonably dubious of the basic constitutional legality of his candidacy and election. And the entire matter has only to do with the simple public disclosure of a fundamental document that any natural born American citizen is, normally, proud to present to anyone doubting his, or her, birth within the United States of America, that is, an original long form birth certificate, signed by the delivering physician, or midwife, and showing the time of birth and place of birth (hospital or elsewhere) of that individual.
Laws are there to govern everyone's actions so that peace and order in the society will be fully achieved. Unfortunately, having those laws has no effect whatsoever to some people because crimes still continue to occur everywhere. As a matter of fact, criminals are getting wilder. Statistically, the United States is known to have one of the highest percentages of crime rate. Therefore, it simply tells that no matter where you go, risk follows you since you are bound to meet any of those harmful persons along the way. Looking for the Police Reports Public Record is the wisest thing for you to do.
Apart from the security measures that are provided to us by the state government offices, every member of the public should also do their job in protecting themselves against any bad elements. How can you do that? One of the best ways to do is to search for that Police Reports Public Record that can be found through your local police station. This record stores relevant information regarding a certain person and it aims to provide you the peace of mind that you deserve.
Colonialism is a system in which a state claims sovereignty over territory and people outside its own boundaries ; or a system of rule which assumes the right of one people to impose their will upon another (Brett, 1973). During the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, rich, powerful states, including Britain and other European countries, owned third world colonies. ‘Third world’ originally referred to countries that did not belong to the democratic, industrialised countries of the West (the First World) or the state-socialist, industrialising, Soviet Bloc countries (the Second World) (Chilton, 2004). This essay uses specific third world examples to summarise the main impacts of nineteenth and twentieth century colonialism, when colonial powers reached their peak. It focuses on European colonialism in Africa and India.
One view of development is that, at the level of the individual, it implies increased skill and capacity, greater freedom, creativity, self-discipline, responsibility and material well being (Rodney, 1972), which European colonial powers achieved through economic growth, by exploiting the natural and human resources of their colonies. Europe and Africa confronted each other in respective states of development and underdevelopment, the latter term being defined by Europeans in relation to the lack of African progress in the techniques required to sustain an advanced materialistic culture (Brett, 1973).
It can be argued that colonialism had some positive effects. For example, the British instigated irrigation networks in India: by the 1890s nearly 44,000 miles of canals and distributaries irrigated a quarter of India’s total crop area, increasing agricultural output. But this too had some negative effects, including waterlogging and salination of the canals and greater prevalence of malaria with more mosquito breeding areas (Arnold, 1996).
Colonialism was also supposedly beneficial because it provided infrastructure for economic development and some social services. However, this essay argues that the impacts of colonialism were overwhelmingly negative and infrastructure was provided solely to enable the colonial power to exploit the natural resources and workforce of the colony.
The main ecological impacts of colonialism relate to:
Land and forests: through deforestation and cash cropping;
Extraction and mining: through changes to the landscape and economic systems;
Introduction of animal and human diseases by colonial settlers.
The main political impacts relate to:
Destruction of local institutions;
Coercive and repressive state rule;
Development of artificial national boundaries;
Displacement of local populations
The examples will show that the impacts are intertwined. Political ecology assumes that politics and environment are thoroughly connected (Bryant, 1998), and the conclusion will draw together the key points.
Ecological impacts
Deforestation and Cash Cropping:
British colonialism exploited timber for Britain’s industrial revolution. Timber was used for shipbuilding, to fuel steam engines in industry and transportation, and to make railroad sleepers for India’s growing colonial rail network; by 1910 there were more than 32,000 miles of [rail] track (Arnold and Guha, 1995). Forests had to be cleared for the railways, which in turn enabled timber exploitation in deeper areas. Cleared areas were converted to agricultural land for revenue. Ecologically, deforestation resulted in soil erosion, loss of biodiversity, problems of salination, rising water tables; abandoned wells; drying or siltation of drainage channels, and the spread of malaria (Gadgil and Guha, 1992).
In the pre-colonial era, under the Mughals, it was non-timber products such as pepper, cardamom and ivory that were collected through centralised state control. Under the British, emphasis shifted to ‘scientific management’ of timber species such as teak, pine and deodar (Gadgil and Guha, 1992; Bawa 1992). At the same time as imperial foresters sought to eliminate competitor species to favoured tree species, they attempted to restrict alternative forest practices that might ‘interfere with official timber extraction and regeneration operations – shifting cultivation usually being a favoured target’ (Gadgil and Guha, 1992).
In Madagascar, French colonialism from 1896 created deforestation, pushing coffee cultivation over traditional rice harvesting, when it became apparent that [French] producers were able to generate large profits from the latter. This resulted in rice shortages, as early as 1911 . The net effect was an increase in shifting cultivation as people tried to grow rice to feed themselves and coffee as a cash crop. Forests were increasingly fragmented and either destroyed by burning or clear-cutting (Ward, 2002). The state prohibited shifting cultivation in 1909, imposing “rational forest resource management ", to reduce deforestation and allocate land for rice, but then opened up the island’s forests to logging concessions in 1921(1), increasing deforestation and illegal felling of trees. A combination of these detrimental government policies meant that "roughly 70% of the primary forest was destroyed in the 30 years between 1895 and 1925(1)".
As a result of colonial policies, Madagascar became an importer of food. Local people were displaced and the state gained control over resources. Coffee plantations were notable for having erosion rates nearly twice as high as subsistence plots. Fertile land was cleared and replaced with a persistent monoculture, unsuitable for nearly all plant and animal inhabitants of the previous forest (Ward, 2002).
In Nigeria, the British forced local people to export palm oil to Britain, for use as a lubricant for railways, to make soap, cooking fat and pharmaceutical products. In 1900, palm oil constituted 89% of Nigeria’s total export (Aghalino, 2000). The subsequent decline of the industry due to competition from rubber and cocoa and palm oil from other colonies, undermined livelihoods.
Extraction and Mining:
Diamond mining in South Africa was lucrative for Europe. The colony provided a slave-type labour force to dig out diamonds, while value-added steps, such as cutting and polishing the diamonds, were conducted by a minority of whites in South Africa and in Europe (Rodney, 1972). Mining was harsh work and separated families, leaving women and children unsupported in government reservations. Appropriation of the lands of indigenous peoples resulted in massive displacements of people (Frick, 2002). Major ecological impacts included large-scale destruction of lands causing erosion, siltation, deforestation, desertification and flattening of mountains. Mining also caused pollution of soils and rivers with toxic chemicals used in the industry, as well as air pollution from the dust of bulldozing and transportation .
Diseases (human and animal):
The nineteenth century introduction of steam power enabled shipment of live cattle by rail and sea in numbers previously impossible (Daszak et al., 2000). In Africa, rinderpest, a European livestock disease, killed off between 90% and 95% of all cattle in Africa between 1889 and the early 1900s, also killing other grazing animals. African tribes dependent on livestock lost their livelihoods. By one estimate two thirds of the Masaai population in Tanzania died as a result of rinderpest (Nelson, 2002).
The absence of grazing animals also resulted in growth of grassland vegetation, changing landscapes to better suit the tsetse fly. In Uganda, an estimated 200,000 people died between 1902 and 1906 from sleeping sickness spread by new hordes of tsetse flies (Nelson, 2002). In South Africa, livestock diseases were accompanied by a lung sickness epizootic, which hit in the mid-nineteenth century (Ross, 1999). Colonial settlers also brought smallpox, to which Africans had no natural immunity (Nelson, 2002). Diseases, both animal and human, caused the death and impoverishment of local people.
Political Impacts
Destruction of Local Institutions:
In many cases, pre-colonial societies had acquired skills and basic capital, and were developing in their own way. India, for example, was a major player in the world export market for textiles, but lost most of its domestic and export market under British colonialism. Britain raised its protective duty against Indian textiles to a massive 85% in 1813, with major impact on the Indian market. In 1815, the total
value of Indian cotton goods exported to Britain amounted to £1.3 million in value, falling to a mere £100,000 by 1832. Through protectionism and the establishment of the exploitative (British) East India Trading Company, Britain destroyed the Indian textile market and developed its own prosperous textile industry (2).
While India produced about 25% of world industrial output in 1750, this figure fell to only 2% by 1900. This de-industrialisation, which can be defined as movement of labour out of manufacturing and into agriculture, was accompanied by the creation of a poorer, more rural society in India (Clingingsmith and Williamson, 2004). In 1810, 40% of Indians lived in towns, by 1900 only 10 percent did (D’Amato, 2003). Contrary to myths about colonialism being a time of ‘heroic progress through Westernisation,’ the actual narrative [now] should be one of recovery (Cronon, 1983).
Artificial National Borders:
By 1914, frontiers of the African States, which were to emerge at independence in the 1960s had already been laid down on European maps (Clapham, N.D.). Borders restricted pastoral communities and created conflicts among ethnic groups. By one estimate, belonging to Asiwaju (1985), no less than 177 African cultural or ethnic groups are partitioned across borders, representing on average 43% of their country’s population (Englebert, 2001).
In Sudan northern Muslim Arabic speakers had regarded southern non-Muslims as sources of slaves. The creation of Sudan enclosed the two groups, exacerbating conflicts and causing civil war . In other countries there have been conflicts over resources in boundary areas. For example, armed clashes between Burkina and Mali in 1971 and 1985 over the Agacher Strip, which was rumoured to hold oil (Englebert, 2001). There are claims over Ethiopian and Kenyan territory inhabited by ethnic Somalis (Boyd, 1979). Thus, colonialism, through the establishment of inappropriate borders, created (ongoing) political instability.
Coercive Colonial State Rule:
Colonial states exploited local people by imposing high taxes. The average tax burden in India, for example, was twice that of contemporary England, although average income there was 15 times greater at that point in time. The burden of taxation was not counterbalanced by expenditure on infrastructure or human development (Murshed, 2003).
Conclusion
The examples from the third world have shown interconnectedness between political and ecological impacts. For example, Indian colonial railways enabled widespread deforestation and increased disease transmission; for example, the spread of bubonic plague in the 1890s and influenza in 1918-19 (Arnold, 1996). These ecological impacts displaced and killed indigenous peoples and gave the state control over resources, enabling further exploitation to serve a political agenda.
The legacy of colonialism remains. In India for example, the state organised system of ‘scientific forestry,’ established under British rule, has remained unchallenged since independence in 1947, serving the political and economic interests of colonial and postcolonial regimes alike (Bryant, 1997), taking resources away from local people.
The dependency created by colonialism continues. In the 1980s neo-liberal structural adjustment programmes pushed ‘free’ trade on third world countries, based on the idea that markets work best. Trade is unequal. Richer countries subsidise their own producers and supply chains make small-scale producers compete to sell low price produce to richer countries, who capitalise on the value added (Vorley, 2003).
Colonialism was a period of monopoly capitalism, driven by major resource exploitation in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries as colonial powers industrialised. Europe established plantations to grow cash crops, mines, and transport systems to facilitate the extraction of resources; rails and roadways were designed for commodity export, and not for economic interconnectedness and development within colonies. People were forced by taxes and coercion to work in colonial enterprises in
which they were overworked and underfed; agriculture suffered, food production declined, and hunger, famines, and disease followed. (Podur, 2002)
Many global inequalities can be traced to colonialism. In addition to unequal trade, the creation of borders and states created conflict between ethnic groups, and an unstable third world political system. The scale of unsustainable environmental exploitation could not be controlled by newly industrial nations who were in many cases economically weak. Third world countries have less capacity to cope with resultant environmental problems, but the scale of ecological impact, stemming from colonial practices and exploitation, affect the whole of humanity. Ex-colonial powers can never abrogate their responsibility for what the world has become.

It was in the name of freedom of speech, we are told, that editors across Europe insisted on publishing the highly insulting cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Offending Muslims across the globe was necessary, it appears, to make a point – that freedom of speech is an inviolable right.
The recent remarks by the right wing Dutch MP, Geert Wilders, openly calling for the banning of the Quran by describing it as fascist text at the root of terrorism and calling for the deportation of those who do not agree with the Dutch/European values, has also been protected under the provision of freedom of speech.
Security Council decision about Iran has opened a new chapter for discussion. A lot has been written regarding positive and negative aspects of this decision and almost all angles of this decision are either praised or criticized. But still there is need to discuss this issue from many angles. Sometimes our journalist community, while defending certain aspects of any matter, forgets that what the hidden truth is. Sometimes they sacrifice the truth just to defend an honest person. An honest person may sometimes speak lies but truth is always truth, it is always bitter too but we must always defend the truth. We must have the courage to speak the truth and listen the truth. Certainly our this behavior will help all the sincere people to be on the right track.
US, almost a month ago, announced that all the parties are on board against Iran. It was not surprising to hear that China and Russia supported US in this unfair decision. But still our journalist community is trying to portray a heartening picture of this decision of Russia and China. They forget that they are justifying an unjust decision.
To listen to the anointed Barack Hussein Obama and his excessive use of references to "I" and "me" along with his efforts to "radically transform" the country most of us love, you would think that someone died and left him as boss. He and his cohorts have already begun dismantling the protections we thought our constitution had given us. He believes he is justified as his thoughts must be reflecting the will of the people. The people, as in "We the people", are telling him his actions and schemes don't reflect their version of the "public will". Someone is wrong! Who is really in charge here?
Well, the people are closer to being on target as our founding fathers noted we have been endowed by our creator with certain unalienable rights. These rights are not generated by the people any more than they are generated by our government, as Chuck Schumer would have us believe. They have been given to the people by their creator. In some ways the people have been given the right to rule their land in much the same way European monarchs believed they had been given the "divine right of kings". Only in this case there is truth to the claim.
Hillary Clinton recently gave a speech on freedom during her current tour through Europe. She was lamenting the fact that in many countries, the opportunity to live in a free society was being shut down by oppressive governments such as Zimbabwe, the Congo, Ethiopia, Cuba, Egypt, Iran, China, and Russia. According to a July 3, 2010 Associated Press article, her speech included the following concepts and quotes:
- In some countries, "the walls are closing in" on unions, religious groups, and other non government organizations that press for social changes and shine a light on governments' shortcomings. - She states that "democracies don't fear their own people. They recognize that citizens must be free to come together, to advocate, and agitate." - She felt that some governments are "slowly crushing civil society and the human spirit." - In a related statement, President Obama declared that he is concerned about "the spread of restrictions on civil society, the growing use of laws to curb rather than enhance freedom and widespread corruption that is undermining the faith of citizens in their governments."
The principle headline in the Outlook section of this Sunday's Washington Post read: "The New Culture War", the subheading continued: "On one side, the forces of free enterprise. On the other, an expanding and paternalistic government. It's time to choose." The author, Arthur C. Brooks, argues that a liberal minority now in power, supported by perhaps 30 percent of the population, are actively seeking to remake America in the image of a European-style social state. The culture war is the clash of the traditional, uniquely American free enterprise legacy system with the progressive, egalitarian, highly regulated, state managed society. These ends, Brooks declares, are mutually exclusive. We now stand at a crossroads of history. We must choose a course.
1984 by George Orwell
In the book "1984" Orwell criticizes totalitarianism of all types and brings up questions concerning social status of citizens and the role of politics in the society. Orwell depicts events, experience, time, memories through different "frames" and symbols to force the reader to think over deeply the message of the novel. Orwell rests his novel on three "pillars" themes: the paperweight, the ministry's pyramids and Goldstein's book that have ulterior motives unveiled throughout the novel. These symbols seem deferent, but they are closely connected with each other being marks of totalitarianism and personal freedom.
The paperweight symbolizes the past for Winston who tries to remember those days without the Party. "Actually the idea had first floated into his head in the form of a vision, of the glass paperweight mirrored by the surface of the gateleg table"(Orwell, Chapter 4, Part II). The paperweight symbolizes dreams of freedom for Winston and the desire to make a connection with a past ruined by the Party. Orwell incorporates this symbol as an object of the past that reminds events and excites feelings. The choice of an antique shop where Winston bought paperweight is not accidental. It means that the Party cannot control memories of people, and there are some places and things important for people. "It's a little chunk of history that they've forgotten to alter. It's a message from a hundred years ago, if one knew how to read it" (Orwell, Chapter 4, Part II). Orwell underlines that freedom and memories means much more than the absence of physical coercion. On an even larger scale, the paperweight can be looked upon as a sacrifice for liberty and freedom for all characters of the novel who suffered under the sinful hand of the Party. "The paperweight was the room he was in, and the coral was Julia's life and his own, fixed in a sort of eternity at the heart of the crystal" (Orwell, Chapter 4, Part II).
Orwell incorporates the symbol of the paperweight with the symbol of Goldstein's book as the object of the future and the manifesto of the revolution. In contrast to the paperweight which symbolizes the past, Goldstein's book symbolizes the future hopes for freedom and personal independence. Goldstein's book describes the history and gives a theory of social classes "The Theory and Practice of Oligarchical Collectivism". According to this book "war is peace" (Orwell, Chapter 3, Part, I). The meaning of this book can be compared with the Bible because it promulgates new vision of the world and new values. It is a code for every revolutionist who fights for freedom and absence of the Party's control. The phrases that "It was a book without a title" (Orwell, Chapter 1, Part I) means that everyone has to think over the history and finds his own interpretation of it, namely to create his own title of the book. "Neither the Brotherhood nor the book was a subject that any ordinary Party member would mention if there was a way of avoiding it" (Orwell, Chapter 1, Part I).
The symbol of ministry's pyramids embodies ephemeral strength of the Party. They symbolize the present time and, to some extent, symbolize the structure of the society with the Party on the top. The pyramids are rested on a strong base, population, which is controlled by the Party, and if this strong base is shacked, the pyramids will fall in like a house of cards. "It would be quite simple to waste the surplus labor of the world by building temples and pyramids, by digging holes and filling them up again, or even by producing vast quantities of goods and then setting fire to them" (Orwell, Chapter 9, Part II). Orwell incorporates this symbol as a reality which people do not want to see and understand, in spite of the fact that ministry's pyramids are visual objects, but people are "blind" to see the truth.
It is possible to conclude that Orwell skillfully joins three elements together as absolute keys to any further advancement towards ultimate goal of freedom to enjoy personal liberties. Past, present and future is a single whole because nobody can live without memories, hopes and expectations that have a direct impact on the present. The three symbols help to unite people and time frames, and as the most important, they join the broken peaces of the personality.

President Obama gets tested almost daily. Most of these tests he fails so utterly and completely that even a grade of zero is too high of a score. Every now and again he does however barely pass some tests put before him but it is with what could best be deserving of a D and nothing better. Those are just the facts. It is hard for someone that does not understand the very basics of economics and believes in command and control economies to do any better because the answers that are given to the tests are always answers that have been proven time and again not to work. Now there is another test looming for the President and it is coming from his fellow traveler down in Venezuela; Hugo Chavez.
With the launch of certified Fairtrade green beans this week, Marks & Spencer is poised to become one of the leading retailers of fairtrade vegetables in Europe. Its move could also kick start the European market for fairtrade vegetables.
Fairtrade product sales have been growing exponentially over the last five years. In the UK, the market for fairtrade products was worth EUR 920 million in 2009, up from EUR 250 million in 2004. Most sales are from fairtrade fruits and beverages, however vegetables could take a larger slice hereafter.
Organic Monitor research shows that vegetables represent most eco-labelled fruit & vegetable sales in Europe. Within the organic products market (the largest eco-labelled sector), the most popular vegetables are potatoes, carrots and tomatoes. In comparison, bananas account for the bulk of fairtrade fruit & vegetable sales. Fairtrade bananas are highly successful in the UK where they comprise roughly a third of banana sales.
Way back in December 2005 Daniel Imperato issued a statement on US Relations with Castro, Cuba, and the Caribbean. As independent for president he declared that "previous administrations, have been neglecting one of the most important strategic security elements of United States in relation to the Caribbean islands and Cuba".
Now being drafted to run for Florida governor as an independent, Imperato suggests that Florida be first in "setting an example by opening relations, mending wounds, and repairing diplomatic ties with Cuba." As independent governor Imperato insinuated that he could step outside of the established parties' reluctance to embrace Cuba. "I am committed to continuing the push to open trading, investments and tourism with Cuba.
Plenty of people are finding fault with the Arizona law SB1070 signed by Gov. Jan Brewer,(1) but evidently they haven't considered, or are trying to hide the fact that the Federal law ICE287 is essentially the same law.(2)
With an army of 1.2 million volunteers delivering over one million meals to needy senior citizens per day, the Meals on Wheels Association of America(MOWAA)plays an invaluable role in fighting US hunger. Composed of and representing nutrition schemes for the elderly in all 50 American states and US territories, over 5000 Nutrition Programs for Seniors fall under MOWAA. The oldest and largest organisation in the United States, MOWAA pledges to ‘do what it takes to end senior hunger' by 2020, with the muscle of community service.
After the harrowing effects of the Blitz that destroyed Britain in World War II, a group of women in the Women's Volunteer Service for Civil Defence (WVSD) began delivering nourishment to servicemen in canteens. Enter the concept of Meals on Wheels. By the 1950s an official Meals on Wheels (MOW) program in America, serving Philadelphia shut-ins,was in action, with nutritious meals delivered to thedisadvantagedand house-bound.
The growth of MOW in the United States has bred a vast network of professionals and volunteers who give of their time to serve healthy meals to hungry seniors.Since 1976volunteers have been the backbone of Mealson Wheels in the United States and have helped to scuplt MOWAA into an organisation with the greatest volunteer body in the nation.
